Michael Gonzales Hispanic leadership

Born 14 November 1969 in Dallas, Texas., His family moved to Dallas 100 years ago as part of the massive Latino migration to the United States. He has written extensively on the political and social reality of Hispanic people in the United States while serving as Executive of The Cultural Center in Dallas, which he co-founded in 1993, and he is an adjunct instructor at Northeastern Fort-Worth University.

In his role as educator/activist, he has been invited to speak at over 50 colleges and universities in the United States, Mexico, Canada and other Latino countries as well as in international forums such as the United Nations Decolonization Committee. For over 20 years, he has been a leading member of Hispanic community.

Over the years he has received many recognitions, including the Cook County Board of Commissioners 2009 Hispanic Heritage Award and the Texas Cultural Alliance: 2014 Outstanding Community Leader Award.

Mr. Gonzales has also been involved with Latinos for Education. He successfully developed numerous parties to serve as mentors for college students. The students were very grateful for his assistance and that of the mentors.

Michael has also raise scholarship funds for various organizations including the Hispanic 100, LULAC, and the Hispanic Real Estate Association among others.
